I am very impressed with New - Venture! Larry and Susanne made me feel important. They both took time to listen and had great suggestions. They are very polite and friendly.... everything I was looking for in a new pharmacy. The place we had been going was so busy that I never saw a pharmacist, and I felt like I was bothering them when I had questions. I love how I was treated at New - Venture. Thank you!

I hate this place!!!!!! I have been going here for years BUT .......last week I had THE WORST experience EVER. LARRY the pharmacist yelled and swore at me.......here's what happened.

New Venture Pharmacy has been our pharmacy for three years. We searched high and low to find a smaller pharmacy than Walgreen's. It's always a wonderful experience and almost everyone knows our entire family by name. Larry is not only knowledgeable, but will go out of his way to give any information he can on how to help you. The vitamin assortment is vast and if they don't have it, it can be ordered. My favorite part of the store is the homeopathic alternatives New Venture has available, they have a extensive knowledge and years of experience with these alternative medicines, if you should choose to go that route.

I have never seen Larry raise his voice or get angry at anyone. As a fellow pharmacist, I know Larry to be a very friendly and caring person. There is not one mean bone in his body! Larry follows all the state rules and regulations. ***** If you are one of those people who claim that the whole operation is racist, you must be a racist! There is no premise to declare any policy at NVP as racist. The pharmacy pays careful attention to what insurance companies pay NVP for dispensed medication. If your insurance company does not pay Larry & NVP what it actually costs plus a dispensing fee, that is the fault of your insurance company. Ultimately, that is something you need to work out with your insurer. Please stop slandering these good people with your race-baiting labels! ***** One cannot stay in business as an independent pharmacy and not pay careful attention to what the insurance company pays the pharmacist. Anyone who owns or has run a small business can relate to my explanation.

Great place ! So helpful and friendly also

I pulled up in the parking lot and instead of going in to wait on my prescription to be filled. I called on the phone while sitting in my car and asked him to refill two of my asthma medicine. I text Larry how long it would take for the prescriptions to be ready . He told me they will be ready in 10 minutes and I told him okay great I'm sitting in my car right outside the window. For some reason he said okay I don't see you and I said I'm here in a white car and he said how am I supposed to know which car you are I thought it was really weird for him to say that when you don't need to know which car man or really see me all you need to know is that I'm outside I was just being courteous by saying I will be in in the 10 minutes that he stayed it and that I was outside. So after 10 minutes I go inside to get the prescription he tells me he transfer the prescription to Walgreens. I asked him why would you transfer the prescription to Walgreens when I told you I was sitting outside in my car and I will be inside in the 10 minutes that you stated. He told me that he could see me on my phone in my car and that I should have come in in the 10 minutes. I asked again why would you transfer it to Walgreens and he said Walgreens called him to get it transferred and maybe if I hadn't been sitting on my black ass in my car on the phone talking instead of coming inside I could have gotten the prescription. Somehow there was a tremendous breakdown in communication I don't know what it was but I've never been held at like that by a business owner and I really did not appreciate him telling me that I have been sitting on my black ass in my car on my phone when I was not on my phone and even if I had been in my car on my phone that is none of his business. This just goes to show some of these businesses that are dealt with buy African Americans primarily are racist they really show their true colors after a while. Now I don't know what would have made this man have my prescriptions transferred to a pharmacy in Shiloh when I don't even deal with Shiloh for my prescriptions I am so disappointed that he resorted to using racial indications with me I would suggest no one deal with this Pharmacy and I will be calling whoever I need to call to report the pharmacy whatever professional entity I need to contact I will be contacting. A few years ago I was actually given the wrong pills at the pharmacy and it was an honest mistake but you're a professional and should take measures to make sure nothing like this happens. Did I report them at that time no I did not because I liked the pharmacy I had no idea that they were racist old but had I known I would have definitely reported them I truly believe that Larry the pharmacist is really getting senile and he should be careful who he hurls racial epithets at because some people may not be as calm as me and go ballistic instead
