Prices are decent but some items are stupidly priced. Why would I pay $3 for a used Wal-Mart garanimals toddler shirt when that's what it costs to buy brand new? Did see some really nice brand names in good condition at around $11 which isn't terrible when we're talking Calvin Klein, but it's obviously a case by case basis.
Employees are slow (physically) and some are rather dim (mentally), but they get the job done eventually. There was not one person there that I would feel comfortable asking for help as most of them just look miserable and irritated.
I love getting my kids clothes from here. Always good prices. We just did some shopping for some Halloween costumes we needed items for. Found everything we needed for under $20. Staff is pleasant and usually friendly. Sometimes a bit quiet, but willing to help!
Oh, yeah, and since most Americans are obese these days, they have a huge selection of clothes for fat people. So they have that going for them, which is nice.
Definitely one of the best thift stores in the Metro-Area. The proceeds go to a good cause. Sell items that are gently used. Can find pretty much anything you're looking for .
Go into savers with realistic expectations. You're buying 2nd hand clothes, so not everything will be perfectly pristine, but ABSOLUTELY INSPECT EVERY ITEM WITH A HAWK EYE. This store sells some pretty funky (smelly) and stained stuff because the sorters in back of house handling donations get lazy.
First visit to Savers. I paid a bit more per top than I have in the past at other thrift stores. But all three tops were in perfect condition and I didn't notice any stains or holes in any of the clothing I looked at so the quality overall seems better here. Not a wide selection of dresses (my primary reason for checking it out) and there was only one that remotely interested me, but it was way too long.
Lastly, don't bother with housewares, it's mostly overpriced junk and the toy section looks like it all came from some hoarders roach-infested trailer. Just...avoid anything that can't stand a dip in boiling water.
Great Place to buy second-hand clothes furniture and a lot of other items.
Got a sweater recently which looked to be in great shape. Sleeves were cuffed on the sweater, and when I took it home to wash it, the sleeves were not designed to be cuffed. Someone did it to hide the disgusting stains and crusty substance on the sleeves.
