I am a loyal customer of over 10 years to Doc Martens. I tried to make a return on a pair of Doc Marten boots for a lesser priced low cuts and was willing to accept an in store gift card since I lost my receipt. The manager's solution was to accept the exchange and pocket the excess. He stated he was sorry, but this was store policy. I called Journeys corporate office in Nashville and they offered an exchange plus payment in cash for the excess.
