What a great place! These guys and gals sure know their stuff. My family has been coming here for years. My parents have purchased a signature ring for all my brothers including me. I went a different route George made mine out of meteorite. I can't tell you the amount of times I've had the pleasure of telling people the origin of my ring!! Highly recommended!!

My engagement ring was purchased here by my husband. It is BEAUTIFUL and I continue to receive compliments from every person I meet! After proposing, now it was my turn to pick something out - the wedding band! I went here for a few reasons: 1) Great feedback from the husband on the experience and selection, 2) Locally owned, and 3) Expertise. The first point I truly believe you have to experience yourself by walking in but let me do the legwork for you on the other two - Olde World Jewelers has been a family business for over 30 years and it has one heck of a management team (I made it a point to kindly introduce myself to them - this is what makes a community after all). For the third point - Expertise - make sure you find a place that has Certified employees. You may think this is common sense but if you are looking at a diamond, for example, and request the GIA Grading Report, you need to have someone able to explain that report to you. Olde World Jewelers has Certified GIA diamond graders certified by the GIA Gemological Institute of America.
I've been a silver and gold collector for years. Old world claims to buy silver but don't waste your time. Even after allowing the uneducated guys in charge of purchases check my coins with acid and clearing as pure silver, they hassled me so much i decided to leave. George is typically a great guy to work with buy the two guys writhing their were pretty rude. I was merely looking for real buyers scof and good spot values. Don't waste your time with coins here.

I bought my fiancee her ring here and I have to start by saying that I don't know jack about diamonds or jewelry. That being said the experience was pain free and I walked away with some added knowledge from the helpful staff. After she started wearing the ring I heard nothing but compliments from strangers to friends and family and basically anyone who saw this thing. Sometimes when my fiancee wants to watch shows with teen moms or mama June or 600 pound people instead of the St Louis Blues playoff games, I question if a mistake was made, but that's another story for another day with our future grandchildren I guess so I digress... long story short , Olde World Jewelers is definitely where I would direct people looking for something for that "special" someone.
